Throughout this website you will find databases with a wide range of resources. Each database has a brief description which is located on the same page just above the database. Please be sure to pick the most appropriate database for your contribution.
To access the databases and comment sections you need to register first. Please do so by clicking on the login button located on the lower right hand side available on every page of this site.
To contribute to these databases and become part of the TEL community, please follow the instructions on this page.
Each database consists of three columns:
column 1: lists the title of your resource, the author and date.
column 2: is where you enter a brief description of your resource, this includes the name of the journal, for example.
column 3: lists the type of the resource you are entering, for example ppt or journal paper, and in this column you will also enter the url or link of your resource on the internet. Instructions on how to enter the link will follow.
How to enter a record into the database:
On the bottom left hand side of each database you may find the following symbols:
Click on the Plus symbol which is indicated by the red circle in the picture above and you will be taken to a separate page where you can enter the details of your resource.
Once you have entered details in column 1 and 2, you may follow the instructions below to enter the link of your resource in column 3.
How to enter internet links in column 3:
This link Search engine
is entered like this:
Please follow this example exactly.
The first part of the link is the url on the internet. It is best to copy it directly from your browser's address bar into the column 3 field. After typing double open square brackets, paste the url, and then follow it up with typing a vertical line on your keyboard (the same key as the backward slash key). Then type the type of our resource as name of your link, and close it with two double brackets.
Please name the link as closely as possible to the type of item that you are posting in one of the databases. If you are posting the link of a journal paper, where one can read the abstract, we suggest to name the link “journal paper”. If you are posting a pdf of the journal paper which will download when clicking on the link, we suggest to name the link “journal paper (pdf)”. If you are posting a general site with information among which might be a journal paper or conference paper, we suggest to name the link “URL”. Have a look at the existing naming conventions if you are in doubt about naming your source.
When you have completed the entering of the details, press “save”, and you will return to the page with the database. You can now see how your record looks in the database.
If your contribution does not have an Internet URL
If you have a contribution for the database which is not on the internet we are happy to host it for you. Please send an email to the answergarden'at'gmail'dot'com. Provide the relevant information for the contribution (title, author, date, source, short description). Please indicate too which section of the AnswerGarden it should be added to.
